Newly promoted Ligue 1 side Estac Troyes will go in search of their first win over PSG in 15 meetings when they host the Ligue 1 giants in their opening game of the Ligue 1 this season. Troyes have been at the end of heavy defeats in this fixture and it won’t get easier on their return to the top flight. While they have scored one goal in six meetings with PSG, they’ve conceded 22 in the same run. Further, they go here without a win in their last three preseason matches and having conceded in each of their six preseason games gives the impression they may not have what it takes to face PSG. In their last seven matches, Troyes have one win only. Six of their last seven matches have produced over 2.5 goals with Troyes conceding the most goals in those matches.

PSG are coming from a 1-0 loss at the hands of Ligue 1 champions Lille in the French Super Cup, a match played in Israel. They will want to put that loss behind them going into the new season and a strong start from the Parisians is expected. This is a game they have dominated in the past and will be confident going to the Stade de l’Aube. They head there winless in the last two matches, earlier having drawn 2-2 with Sevilla. PSG have made some key transfers especially defensively and will hope they work. The team has managed just one clean sheet in the last five matches though the loss to Lille was the first time they failed to score. We expect them to get their scoring form back in this game, playing a team that hasn’t posted a lot of clean sheets. Three of PSG’s last five matches have produced over 2.5 goals and in eight of their last 10, they have scored two or more goals.
