Trabzonspor and AS Roma will face off in the play-off round of the Europa Conference League, as the two sides fight out for a spot in the group stage. Hosts Trabzonspor started off in the third qualifying round and after eliminating Molde, they’ll hope they can go a notch higher. They are coming from a huge win, beating Yeni Malatyaspor 5-1 for their first win of the season, having drawn the earlier two. The only negative they take from their opening win of the season is that they couldn’t keep a clean sheet. Yeni Malatyaspor’s goal means Trabzonspor have no clean sheet in their last four outings and both sides have scored in each of these four games. Trabzonspor have failed to score in just one of their last five matches, and at home, they are unbeaten in the last 11, with seven wins in there. Roma gets to play their first game of the season when Trabzonspor have already played three, and in terms of match fitness the Italian side might struggle.
