The past few weeks haven’t been very positive for Tottenham Hotspur but they can make a massive step towards their top four target when they host Manchester United on Sunday. Sixth placed Spurs are on 49 points and gunning for three points to aid in their push, against second placed United, who are on 60 points. Going to this game, Spurs are three points below the last Champions League spot and after letting a 2-1 lead slip away against Newcastle United to draw 2-2, they won’t be in the best spirits. The team started the season on a high and even thrashed Manchester United 6-1 at Old Trafford. However, those standards have dropped to an extent a top four finish would be good enough. Only Harry Kane has maintained the top performances and he heads here with five goals in the last four league matches. Spurs have three straight home wins going to this game, with 10 goals in the process and having conceded one.

Manchester United are coming from an easy 2-0 win away to Granada in the Europa League. They have two wins since that loss to Leicester in the FA Cup and that remains their only loss in the last 17 matches. In the Premier League, United have four clean sheets in their last five matches. Their best run this season has come away from home and they’ll be eyeing revenge for the huge home loss in October 2020. They are unbeaten in their last 10 league matches, winning five. Away from home in league matches, United are unbeaten in 22 games, dating back to last season. This season, they have nine wins in the 15 away league matches played. Eric Bailly and Anthony Martial are ruled out of this game with injury.
