Tottenham Hotspur got to the final of the UEFA Champions League last season but they were underwhelming in the game as they fell to Liverpool. Their charge this season has also not gotten off to a very good start as they could only manage a 2 – 2 draw with Olympiakos away from home. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich are enjoying a fine start to the season and have only dropped points in a 1 – 1 draw with Leipzig and a 2 – 2 draw with Hertha Berlin. Tottenham have managed just three wins from their opening nine matches but draws with Arsenal and Manchester City will give them the belief ahead of a match up with Bayern Munich. One area that Spurs have done well is in attack; they have scored in seven of the nine matches so far and in six of the nine they have scored two goals or more. In Champions League action, Spurs have one win in their last five matches and they have conceded two or more in four of those. Harry Kane has been in good form too lately and has scored in each of the three matches he has been fielded. They have two wins in the last five Champions League games, but just one loss in the last 10. Away from home, Bayern have gone on a nine – game unbeaten run, with six wins and three draws therein. They have failed to score in just three of 15 away matches in the competition.
