Stuttgart won promotion back to the Bundesliga last season and could end up in European football next season. They start the weekend in eighth and host fifth placed Borussia Dortmund. The home side are only four points behind Dortmund and sixth placed Bayer Leverkusen.  They could well climb above Union Berlin in seventh, they are ahead of them on goal difference but are away to Bayern Munich this weekend. Stuttgart struggled at home earlier in the season with just five points from their first eight home league games. Their first home win didn't come until January 29 and have now won four of their last five at home in the Bundesliga. Eight goals have been scored in their last three home wins. 

Borussia Dortmund will be after some revenge on Stuttgart. The reverse fixture saw Stuttgart get a 5-1 away win against them when they were going through a terrible patch. The last week hasn't been that great for them either. A home league loss to Eintracht Frankfurt has left them seven points behind the final Champions League place. Then in midweek, they lost 2-1 at Manchester City, though nearly got a draw. They have won six away league games this season, but also lost six. 14 games on the road have seen 50 goals scored. Only one of their last six games in all competitions has been won wiht 12 goals conceded. They have scored in each of their last 13 away league fixures with ten of the last 11 seeing both teams score. Go for that stat to come up in this match.
