Saturday wasn’t a great day for St Pauli as they lost 4-0 away at Darmstadt. That left them in 11th place at the end of the day and now host Heidenheim who are pushing for promotion in fourth. St Pauli conceded an early goal at Darmstadt but it was still 1-0 with 12 minutes remaining. Then the floodgates opened and they conceded three more. Now they are looking over their shoulders as St Pauli are only five points above the relegation play-off position. St Pauli had been unbeaten in five league games but that was their tenth league defeat of the season. They have won seven of their home league fixtures this season, with three losses. Only 12 goals have been conceded with two clean sheets in the last three. Their last two home games have both ended in victory and that has stretched their unbeaten home record in the Bundsliga to six matches. Three of the last four though have seen under 2.5 goals scored.

Heidenheim are still in with a good chance of winning promotion to the Bundesliga. They had a 1-0 home win on Friday beating struggling When. Only two of their last eight league games have been lost and they ended Saturday a point behind the teams in second and third but from a game more. They have a patchy away record though with four wins, four draws and five losses. 13 away league games have only seen 30 goals scored, just 12 by Heidenheim. They are struggling with their last two on the road both being lost. Five of their last eight league games have seen under 2.5 goals scored. The bet here is for that stat to become six out of nine.
