Ahead of their match against Turkey, Spain have set a fresh new record for a lengthy undefeated run in competitive matches. The European champions have set a streak of 30 games without defeat in regular time after beating Georgia. They did so as they moved closer to booking a slot at the 2026 World Cup. We have a prediction for this encounter below.
A goal difference superior by 14 stands as the Spaniards’ insurance in the race for top spot in Group E. At 15 points, they are three ahead of second-placed Turkey, who, like Spain, are coming off a win. Turkey have given a big fight to cling to their hope for automatic qualification.
However, they haven't scored enough goals to challenge, while their only loss in the group was against Spain. Apart from seeking revenge, in this fixture, Turkey will also look to improve on their goal-scoring run against Spain.

Spain - Turkiye: Form Analysis
Five wins in five group matches and a superior goal difference mean Spain are all set to secure their World Cup place. It has been a perfect run for the former world champions.
After regaining their status as Europe’s best last year, they hope to attempt the same at the global stage next year. With 19 goals scored and zero conceded so far, it is unbelievable that they haven't already been confirmed for the World Cup.
Six of those goals came in their win against Turkey back in September. It was a routine victory in this fixture, Spain’s fifth in a row, though their first in nine years. They are coming off a 4-0 win away to Georgia.
Spain have not tasted defeat within 90 minutes in their last 30 matches.
Turkey’s hopes of an automatic ticket were hinged on an unlikely Georgia win over Spain. They did their bit well in beating Bulgaria 2-0, but Spain were not to be stopped by a struggling Georgia.
Now Turkey have it all to play for here, though all pointers indicate they will be going to the playoffs. They won five of their matches and will be looking to avoid defeat against Spain yet again.
To advance as group leaders, Turkey will have to be the first to beat Spain by seven clear goals.

Spain & Turkiye Squad Analysis
The current Spain side is one of the most star-studded teams in the world at the moment. In their recent run, Mikel Oyarzabal has been the main man in attack.
The Real Sociedad man has bagged 14 goals in La Roja’s last eight matches. He has scored eight and assisted six in that period. Two of those goals came in the last round as Spain beat Georgia 4-0.
He also had an assist in the game. While Spain are enjoying a good scoring run, at the back, Unai Simon has done superbly. Spain haven't conceded in the qualifiers so far, and it is partly down to the keeper.
Spain will be without Lamine Yamal and Dean Huijsen, both nursing injuries.
Turkey will be hopeful of breaking the barriers that make them the underdogs in this fixture. To do that, they will rely on senior players for encouragement and big-game experience.
Unfortunately, Hakan Calhanoglu, who would have been a crucial player in that respect, will sit out with a wrist injury. The Inter Milan man, with 102 international caps, will be missed.
The midfielder has scored five across the last 10 matches for club and country. In the same 10 outings, he provided five assists.

Our Spain vs Turkiye Prediction
Spain have been quite solid in their recent matches. A run that includes winning the European championship, and they come here seeking a record-breaking 31st undefeated outing. It is hard to imagine Spain, in their current form, dropping points here, let alone losing.
They haven't just won their five matches so far in the qualifiers, but they did so with clean sheets. Given their strong defence, superiority in this fixture, and the fact that they are playing at home, Spain have the upper hand. Our prediction for Spain v Turkey is for a Spain win to nil.
