Southampton start the weekend in 12th place but could be a few places lower by the time this game starts on Sunday. They continue to struggle for goals with only five scored in the league this season and three of those came in the win over West Ham with one of those being a penalty. It's not a new problem because the Saints have only scored in one of their last nine home league games which is pretty shameful really.  None of their players have scored more than one goal this season and until the goals start flowing they are going to struggle to match efforts in recent years. Seven of their last eight home league games have had under 2.5 goals scored in them. Newcastle started their first season back in the Premier League with two straight defeats but have managed ten points from their next five games but only have one from the last two and have already lost once on the south coast this season losing 1-0 away to Brighton and Hove Albion. They have only managed one goal in three away league games and those matches have produced  a total of just three goals in total. A bet on under 2.5 goals is the best bet to go for in this game.
