Southampton and Leicester City are set to face off again, this time in the Premier League, just over a week after their FA Cup semi final, which Leicester won 1-0. Southampton play host this time, going to the game placed 15th with 36 points while Leicester are third with 62 points. Southampton are coming from three straight losses and will be desperate to return to winning ways being just nine points above the relegation zone. They have two wins in their last 15 league matches and will have a fresh concern with top scorer Danny Ings having suffered yet another injury. The Saints have failed to replicate the comeback and 3-2 win over Burnley and lost away to West Bromwich Albion and Tottenham Hotspur in the last two league matches. They have conceded at least two goals in the last five league matches, though they’ve failed to score in only one, with each of the five producing over 2.5 goals. The win over Burnley was their last home game in the league and the Saints will hope for a better return at home.

Leicester have recovered from their slump that saw them lose to Manchester City and West Ham United back to back. They are on a three-match winning run in all competitions and have registered two straight league wins after the FA Cup win over Southampton. This will be another chance for them to move closer to securing third place and they have the confidence to go for it. Kelechi Iheanacho was on the mark again as they came from down to seal a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace in the last game. He has now scored 12 goals in nine matches and has hit double figures in the league, being just three goals behind leading scorer Jamie Vardy. The Foxes have failed to score in just one of their last five league matches but they have three wins in the five, with four producing over 2.5 goals. Their last away game in the league ended in a 3-2 loss to West Ham United, with their comeback from 3-0 down just falling short. They’ve done better away from home, with 10 wins in 16 league matches and will be hoping this away form comes to the fore here.
