South Africa - Nepal Predictions & Betting tips - ICC Men's T20 World Cup

South Africa will look to complete a clean sweep in the group stage of the 2024 T20 World Cup when they take on Nepal on Saturday morning. The Proteas currently lead Group D while the Rhinos are fourth. South Africa have enjoyed an excellent T20 World Cup campaign to this point and have already secured their place in the Super Eight. They got the tournament underway with a commanding six-wicket victory over Sri Lanka and followed that up with a four-wicket win over bogey side the Netherlands in match two. The Proteas then booked their spot in the last eight with a hard-fought four-run victory over Bangladesh on Monday, thanks to a workman-like 46(44) from Heinrich Klaasen and economical spells from Keshav Maharaj, who took 3/27, while Anrich Nortje and Kagiso Rabada notched two wickets each. Despite South Africa’s dominance in the group, Rob Walter will likely be concerned about the performance of the top-order that have failed to make a significant impact in the tournament so far and it would not come as a huge surprise to see a shake-up in the batting order.
Meanwhile, Nepal are currently on one point after two matches and a defeat here will mean they will be eliminated from the competition if Bangladesh of Netherlands win their next match. The point they have earned came as a result of their last match against Sri Lanka being washed out. Prior to that, Nepal were beaten by six wickets by the Netherlands in their first match where Rohit Paudel scored 35(37), though he received very little support with no other batsman managing a score of more than 20 runs. The Rhinos have now lost their last four T20 internationals with their last victory coming over Hong Kong back in the T20 Premier Cup playoffs back in April. Nepal are unsurprisingly massive underdogs here and will need to be at their absolute best to stand any chance against the Proteas.

The likes of Quinton de Kock and Reeza Hendricks will be eager to spend some time in the middle against this bowling attack to build some momentum before the Super Eight phase.
