Slovan Bratislava will be going all-out to get a good lead in this Champions League game. Qualifying is at the second round stage and Bratislava host Youngs Boys from Switzerland. Bratislava beat Shamrock Rovers in the last round, all thanks to their home record. They won 2-0 at home with Rafael Ratao scoring both goals. The away leg saw them go 2-0 down before a late goal secured a 3-2 aggregate win. Slovan have one away win in the Champions League since 2009, so they know a good home result is vital for them. They have never reached the group stages of the Champions League. The nearest they have gotten is the play-off round in 2019/20 when losing to PAOK in the play-off round.  They haven't lost in six home Champions League games and in their last nine home Europa League games since 2018 have only lost two of nine.

Young Boys haven't got to the group stage of the Champions League since the 2018/19 season.
