Sligo Rovers vs Hafnarfjordur Prediction & Betting Tips - Conference League

Irish club Sligo Rovers play their first ever home game in the new UEFA Conference League. They trail Iceland's FH 1-0 after the first leg of this tie so have a good chance of progressing. It was looking like Sligo were going to be able to get a goalless draw in the first leg. Then they had a player sent off in the 78th minute and FH got the only goal of the game with five minutes of normal time remaining. That ended a run of three games unbeaten for Sligo who are second in the Irish Premier Division, only behind Shamrock Rovers on goal difference. Sligo have only lost one of their last five home league games, their last one being a 4-0 win over Bohemians on June 25. This is their first time in European competition since the 2014/15 season. 

FH hold that one goal lead and will look to put their greater experience of European football to good use. They have been in the Champions League in the past and in 2018 got to the play-off round of the Europa League, losing to Braga. FH are tenth in the Icelandic League but away form is not good at present with four consecutive losses. They may well have preferred a better lead than just one goal from the first leg. Each of their last three matches have had under 2.5 goals scored in them. Five of their last six games in European competition have seen that stat come up. They'd love to snatch a goal in this tie to really put the pressure on their opponents. Their away form is worrying though, but can the home side take advantage of any weakness. A bet on under 2.5 goals is the wager to place.
