Both of these sides made a good start to the season but have slipped in recent games. Slavia Mozyr are seventh in the Belarus Premier League and host FC Minsk who have dropped to 11th but are only a point behind their opponents. The home side lost their opening league game 3-1 at FC Slutsk, no disgrace as that side now lead the table. They bounced back well though with two wins over BATE Borisov and Dinamo Brest, who filled the top two spots in the league last season. Slavia also beat BATE in the first leg of their Belarus Cup semi-final but form has dipped since then. They could only draw 0-0 at home with Rukh Brest and then lost 2-1 at Isloch Minsk. 

FC Minsk got their season off to a flyer with victories over Belshina and Dinamo Minsk, both sides are currently in the bottom five though. Since then though, they have lost three league games in a row losing to Energetik, BATE Borisov and Rukh Brest, all without scoring a goal. Their two away league games have seen seven goals scored though (three by Minsk) but their scoring run seems to have come to an end at present. Go for under 2.5 goals in this match.
