The CAF Champions League enters Match Day 2 in the group stages, with Tanzanian side Simba SC set to host Egyptian giants Al Ahly. The two occupy the top spots in Group A after wins on Match Day 1. Al Ahly are top after a 3-0 win over Al Merreikh and Simba second on goal difference after a 1-0 win over AS Vita. Simba will be looking to build on the win and have announced that 30,000 fans will be allowed in the 60,000-seater Dar National Stadium. The last time these two sides met here, Simba won 1-0, but went on to lose 5-0 in Egypt. The hosts go to this game well prepared, with an eight-game unbeaten run at home. They’ve kept seven clean sheets in the eight unbeaten matches and conceded two goals. In their last five home matches, Simba have scored 13 goals but they know this one will be tougher. Al Ahly’s defence of the African title started well and they are favorites to win a 10th Champions League title. They head to Tanzania just two weeks after taking part in the Club World Cup, where they won bronze, and have four clean sheets in their last five matches. The loss to Bayern Munich at the Club World Cup is their only defeat in the last 35 matches. Having the top African coach Pitso Mosimane has really pushed the side and they’ll be out to build on their opening group stage win. The Egyptians are unbeaten in 13 Champions League matches, and lost just once in 19. They have 15 wins in the last 20 Champions League matches and head here with three straight away wins in the competition.
