Sheffield United are already making a bold bid to win their second straight promotion. They start the weekend in third place just two points behind the automatic promotion places. United are yet to draw a league game this season with seven wins and four defeats to date. They need to bounce back from their last game which saw them let a lead slip at Nottingham Forest losing 2-1. Home form has been strong so far with four wins and a defeat by Norwich. Those wins include victory over second placed Wolves and they have kept three clean sheets. Ipswich are down in eighth place but will climb above United if they can win this game. They are not in good form though with four defeats in their last six league games with seven goals conceded in the last three. Their defence is a bit of a worry with two or more goals conceded in seven of their last nine league and cup games. Away from home, Ipswich have lost their last three league and cup games and now face a run in which their next three away league games include games against two of the top three sides in the table. The stats all point towards a home win in this game.
