Sheffield United will have another attempt at a first win of the season when they host Leicester City in the premier League on Sunday. Ahead of this game, the hosts have managed just one point, which has left them at the bottom of the standings, while Leicester go to this game placed fourth with 18 points. Sheffield have not won any of their last 14 matches, losing 13 of those (one on post match penalties). In their last outing, the Blades suffered a 1-0 loss at the hands of West Bromwich Albion, which was the third time in the last four matches that they have failed to score. While they have been poor, it has been a rarity seeing Sheffield concede more than a goal; they have not conceded more than once in seven of their last 10 matches. However, in the Premier League, they have no win and no clean sheet in 13. They have scored just one goal in their last six home matches and that came against another struggling side – Fulham. Sheffield have not conceded more than one goal in five of the last six league matches at home but their last home win in the league came way back in July. The 3-0 win over Chelsea then marked a six-match unbeaten streak at home but things have changed for the worse coming to this game. Last season, Sheffield lost only six home matches in the league but right now, they are on four home losses already. It doesn’t seem their fortunes will change for the better as in the next three league matches, they face sides in the top 10 – Leicester City, Southampton and Manchester United. Having lost each of their last five matches against Leicester, this will be an uphill task.

Leicester City have a midweek match before they get to take on Sheffield United – a Europa League clash. They head to this game having had low returns in their recent matches, going winless in the last three and will be seeking a rise. They lost 2-1 to Fulham in their last league game, making it two straight losses in the league after earlier losing to Liverpool. In between the two matches, they drew 3-3 with Sporting Braga. However, they go to this game unbeaten in eight matches against Sheffield United and in the form their hosts have been this season, Leicester will be hoping for a return to winning ways. Leicester have six wins in the last nine matches and no clean sheet in the last three while they have failed to score in just two of their last 10. Their last seven matches have each produced over 2.5 goals and they have scored two or more goals in five of their last 10. The 2016 league champions have however had their shortcomings in defence, and as a result have conceded two or more in each of the last three matches. They have conceded six goals in the last five away league matches and kept just two clean sheets in the process. Their defence aside, Leicester have had impressive results away from home in the league – they have four wins in the five away league matches they have played. The team has also scored two or more goals in three of their last five away league matches, with four of the last five producing over 2.5 goals.
