Dinamo Brest are the current Belarus Premier League champions and are in a good position to reach the domestic cup final. They lead this semi-final tie against cup holders Shakhytor Soligorsk 2-0 after the first leg. That was played on home territory with them scoring in the sixth and 13th minutes to take a commanding lead. They will most likely be disappointed that they didn't extend their lead even further. Brest continue to struggle in the league though and are 14th, just one place above the relegation zone. They are four points clear of the bottom two but only six points behind the league leaders. The weekend saw them lose their second league game in a row and it just happened to be a 2-0 home defeat by their opponents in this game. Brest have only played two away league games this season, winning one and losing one. They have won this cup in 2017 and 2018 and had a tough time in this season's quarter finals. They had two goalless draws with Isloch Minsk before winning on penalties to reach the last four. Goals have been in  short supply in their games this season with only six scored in as many games.

Their opponents have it all to do to get back into this tie. They should have had their confidence boosted by that weekend victory at Brest. They are the defending cup holders and have reached four of the last six finals. The first leg loss ended a run of 11 cup games without defeat. In the Belarus Premier League this season, they are currently 11th, just a point ahead of Brest. Six league games have seen them win twice, draw twice and lose twice. Goals have been scarce in their games too with only eight in their six league fixtures. Only one of their last 12 competitive games has seen over 2.5 goals scored. That was the recent 2-1 home loss to league leaders FC Slutsk. This will be a tense battle and Shakhtyor will be keen to get an early goal. Conceding would be a disaster for them and the suggested bet here is on under 2.5 goals to be scored.
