Sevilla have had a bright start to the season and though they dropped points in the draw with Celta Vigo, they still managed to get back to the top of the table in La Liga, courtesy of Atletico Madrid’s loss, and will be hoping to pile on Real Madrid’s misery in the season. Not even the return of Zinedine Zidane has been able to revive Real Madrid, who have been on the decline starting last season, but they will rejoice in the return to fitness of Eden Hazard, who even started in Paris as the team fell to PSG. Sevilla have four wins in their five matches so far in the season and are unbeaten in six La Liga matches, winning four and keeping four clean sheets. However, this will be the strongest opposition they meet so far in the season. Sevilla have not conceded more than a goal in the last six matches. At home in La Liga, Sevilla have three losses in 18 matches and they have averaged two goals per game in the last five league matches at home. Joan Jordan, newly signed from Eibar, is having a good start at Sevilla and will be keen to add on his two goals so far. As for Real Madrid, the loss to PSG just about exposed their defensive weaknesses once again. In the five matches played so far this season, Real Madrid have no clean sheet and they have conceded at least two goals in each of their last three matches. They are however unbeaten in the last four La Liga matches and have no clean sheet in the last eight. They have one win in seven away matches in La Liga and will be hoping to improve on that here. Real Madrid have injuries to key players, like Luka Modric and Asensio but with Gareth Bale available after suspension, Karim Benzema scoring a brace in the last La Liga game and Hazard getting to start against PSG, they will be good to go.
