Sevilla's hopes of qualifying for next season's Champions League suffered a big blow at the weekend. They lost 3-0 at Getafe who are now fourth in the table and two points clear of Sevilla with five games left to play. That defeat saw them drop to sixth with Valencia also winning and going above them. It was two first-half penalties that put Sevilla in trouble at the weekend and the loss ended a run of three straight league wins. Sevilla have only won two of their last 13 away league games but are much stronger at home with three wins in the last four with 10 goals scored and  have won 10 home league games this season. They will look to get back on track here with three points against a struggling side. 

Rayo Vallecano only have Huesca below them in the table and are six points from safety. An immediate return to the Spanish Second Division is looking likely for the team who have lost 19 league games this season, more than any other team in La Liga. The weekend saw them held to a home goalless draw by bottom-of-the table Huesca despite 16 attempts on goal. They have lost nine of their last 12 league games with the only win being a home victory over Valencia on April 6. Away from home, Vallecano have lost their last six league games with 15 goals conceded but have managed to get on the score sheet in each of those matches. Overall, this season they have lost 12 out of 16 away league matches and have the worst record in La Liga. Go for Sevilla to get the three points here.
