Seventh placed Schalke 04 will this Saturday, in Gelsenkirchen play host to Borussia Dortmund, who are fourth on the Bundesliga table. Just one point separates the two sides, with Schalke having 14 and Dortmund 15 after eight matches each. Schalke will not only have the benefit of playing at home, but they were also not in action in midweek. Dortmund, on the other hand, are coming from a Champions League game in Italy, where they lost 2-0 to Inter Milan. Schelke will however be hoping to get back to winning ways after registering a loss and a draw in their last two matches. They have played a total of nine matches this season and they have five wins and three clean sheets. In the nine matches, Schalke have failed to score in just three. Their first home match in the Bundesliga ended in a 3-0 loss to Bayern Munich but they have really improved from then. They have two wins and a draw in the last three home league matches. They have not been as good defensively though; they have conceded 11 goals, two more than Schalke. Dortmund are winless in their last three away matches; they have managed two draws and a loss. They have conceded eight goals in the four away league matches this season. Each of the away matches have produced over 2.5 goals as well.
