Amiens, placed 19th in the Ligue 1 standings, will be hoping for some reprieve when they play host to 10th placed Monaco in the next round of matches in the French top flight. The two head to the game with 12 points separating them, Monaco having managed 32 and Amiens 20. Going to the clash, Amiens have not managed a win in their last eight matches; they have lost four of those but they will have something to build on, having played to 0-0 draws in the last two matches. In their most recent loss, they fell to a late goal in a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Brest and they will be aiming at doing better here. They have eight losses, two wins and four clean sheets in the last 15 matches while they have not scored more than one goal in their last eight matches. They have actually scored more than a goal in just two of the last 15 matches they have played. Whereas they have shown great improvement defensively in the last two matches, Amiens have not scored in the two matches and they are without a win in their last three home matches. They have won just one of the last six home games and in Ligue 1, they are without a win in five home matches.

On the other hand, Monaco ended a three – game losing spell with a 1-0 win over Angers in their last match and will be hoping to build on it. Four of Monaco’s last five away matches have yielded over 2.5 goals. Their away run is not so impressive, Monaco have three wins in 12 away matches, and have lost five in the 12. They have only scored two or more in three of the last 10 matches and are winless in the last three Ligue 1 away matches. In their last 11 away Ligue 1 matches, they have two wins but a key factor here is that they have never lost to Amiens in the seven meetings between the two sides. They have won four of the seven, with three straight wins going to this match.
