Santos vs Juventude Prediction & Betting Tips - Brasileirão Serie A

The Brazilian Serie A goes into the third week of matches and Santos will be hosting Juventude in one of the clashes scheduled for Sunday. Juventude’s return to Serie A hasn’t had a warm welcome and after two matches they have just one point, in 16th place, while Santos have had their own problems and are 12th with three points. Santos will however go to this game on a stronger footing, having won each of their last three matches, two of them in the Copa do Brasil and one a league game. They have two clean sheets in their last six matches, but these have been against fourth tier side Cianorte in the cup competition. In the Serie A last season, Santos weren’t very strong finishers and their start to this campaign is a continuation. They have three wins in their last 11 league matches but after the win over Ceara in their last league game, they will be confident going here.
Juventude are making a return to the top flight after their relegation back in 2007. It has been a tough start for them so far; their campaign started with a 2-2 draw at Cuiaba and got worse in the second game as they were blanked 3-0 at home by Athletico Paranaense. Their earlier loss to Internacional in the Gaucho 1 regional league sees them head here winless in the last three matches. They’ve however failed to score in just one game in their last five and should be planning on breaching a Santos defence that has already proven to be shaky. They have one clean sheet in five matches and their own defence will also be in focus when they head to this game, having conceded nine goals in the last three matches.

Santos haven’t had the best of starts to the season but after their first win in the league, sandwiched by wins in the Copa do Brasil, they will be confident heading to this game. Defensively, they’ve been unconvincing though. Juventude are just returning to the league after their promotion and theirs has been a very shaky start. They are also not firm defensively and are bound to struggle against Santos. Go for both teams to score.
