Salzburg vs Marseille Prediction & Betting Tips - Europa League

Red Bull try to become the Roma of the Europa League as they host Marseille in the second leg of this semi-final. The Italian side came from 4-1 down to reach the semi-final of the Champions League and Red Bull are also in trouble in this tie as they were in the last sixteen. In the previous round they lost 4-2 at Lazio before winning the home second leg 4-1. This time around it's a bit more difficult as they have no away goals and trail Marseille 2-0 from the first leg. They are strong at home though and are unbeaten in their last eight home games in this competition, winning six and drawing the other two. They last lost a compettive home game in November 2016 but will be wary of conceding an away goal as that would mean they would have to score four to win the tie but they are defensively strong with only two home goals conceded in their last eight home Europa League games.

Marseille may have to win the Europa League if they want Champions League football next season. They are fourth in Ligue 1 and a point behind the Champions League qualification places with three league games to go. A goal in each half won them the first leg 2-0 and they are unbeaten in their last six league and cup games. Away form in the Europa League isn't that impressive though with just one win in their last nine games, a 2-1 win in Bilbao in the last 32. Goals don't come easy and take away that win in Spain and they have just three in their last eight. Just one away goal could make all the difference in this tie  Red Bull have the strength at home to win this game, whether it wil be by enough to reach the final remains to be seen in a fascinating tie.
