Lyon had a torrid outing in Europe and will be returning home hoping for some calm in Ligue 1. They head out to Saint-Etienne in their next assignment as the league enters matchday 30. Read on for our prediction of this match.

Saint-Etienne are still stuck in the red zone in Ligue 1, and every week they seem to be drawing closer to Ligue 2. In their last game, Les Verts fought gallantly to come back three times and draw 3-3 with Brest.

Coming into a second straight home match, they will hope to go one better and win. Their defensive shape at home has been their biggest letdown, the team conceding three or more in the last four matches.

Lyon will be looking to put behind them their Europa League elimination by Manchester United. Les Gones will be beating themselves for poorly managing a game they led 4-2 but went on to lose 5-4.

While they continued with their good scoring form, a lot of questions linger regarding their defensive shape. That was the second time in five matches that Lyon conceded four goals.
