Saint Etienne vs Lille Osc Prediction & Betting Tips - Ligue 1

They have to rely on results elsewhere but St Etienne go into this final game of the season with an outside chance of making it into the Europa League. They start the game in eighth place but only two points off the final Europa League place currently occupied by Nice, who travel to third-placed Lyon. Sandwiched in between them are Bordeaux level on points with St Etienne and away to bottom of the table Metz. St Etienne aren't in great form coming into this game and have lost their last two league games.  Their last home league game ended in a 3-1 home loss to Bordeaux and of the last six home games, they have only won two.

Lille are down in 15th but safe from relegation as they are four points above the bottom three Their situation had been getting a bit despearate before three straight league wins pulled them away from the possibility of going down to Ligue 2.  Those three victories came against sides all in the bottom eight and two of the bottom three.  They won the reverse fixture at home to St Etienne 3-1 but away form is a worry. Before the vital 3-2 win at Toulouse last week wit two goals in the last 10 minutes, they had lost their last four conceding 11 goals. A hard game to predict, particularly if scores elsewhere go against St Etienne. A bet on over 2.5 goals should be a winner.
