Romania are back home for round two of the 2024 UEFA Euro Qualifiers where they are set to host Belarus on Tuesday looking to keep their 100% start to Group I intact. They began this group with a 2-0 win in Andorra, while Belarus suffered a 5-0 home loss to Switzerland. The Romanians last qualified for the Euro’s in 2016 and having been pooled in a relatively easy group with only one nation (Switzerland) ranked above them in the FIFA world rankings, Edward Iordanescu’s charges will be confident of their chances of qualifying. They have been plagued by consistency issues and haven’t won three matches in a row since winning four friendlies back to back in 2018 but having not lost against Belarus in their five matches against each other, the possibilities for a win are high. There are no injuries to report from the match against Andorra so Lordanescu might stick with the same eleven.

Belarus have won only one of their last nine matches and this was an away win against Syria. They will hope for the same but having not scored a goal in their last two matches, The White Wings have it all to do in order to avoid back-to-back defeats. Belarus have never in their history qualified for a Euro tournament and have lost eight of their last 10 qualifiers. Just like his Romanian counterpart, Belarus tactician Georgi Kondratyev has a full squad to pick from following Saturday’s action.
