Both these teams are on nine points with Real Madrid ahead of Roma because of their home win over the Italian side. They are both five points clear of third-placed CSKA Moscow whose final game is away in Spain. Roma have a decent chance here of getting a win against Real that would take them top of the group and into the last sixteen. Home form for Roma is always key to their progress in this competition and their two home games in this group have seen them win 5-0 and 3-0. That makes it seven straight home wins in the Champions League and six of those victories have been with clean sheets. They did lose 2-0 at home to Real Madrid a couple of seasons ago.

Real Madrid started to recover after their poor run of form that led to the sacking of their manager. They won four games in a row scoring 15 goals but then lost 3-0 at Eibar on Saturday so that fragility is still there. Real have already lost one away game in this group losing to CSKA Moscow. but have only been beaten twice in their last 13 games in this competition. It's hard to back Real at present with their tendency to have a bad day. Go for over 2.5 goals to be scored in this match.
