Roma looked dead and buried when 5-0 down at Anfield in the first leg of this Champions League semi-final. However, two late goals without any further goals being conceded puts them in with a chance of making the final. It's the same situation as in the quarter finals, win the home second leg 3-0 and into the next round you go. Roma will have to keep it tight but they are used to doing that at home and haven't conceded a goal in any of their last five home Champions League games. They had a good win at home at the weekend improving their chances of qualifying for next season's Champions League without having to win it this season. They have had good results at home to sides such as Atletico Madrid, Chelsea and Barcelona and will give this the best of shots. An early goal as in the home game against Barcelona would be ideal for them.

If that early goal doesn't come then the pressure will keep on increasing and that must surely play into the hands of Liverpool. They have scored an amazing 17 goals in their last four away Champions League games which is the same number Roma have scored all season in the Champions League. Their top players are fit and the chances are they will be able to snatch a goal in this tie to put even more pressure on the home side. Their defence has improved greatly in recent months and they have played ten away games since last conceding three goals in a game. They are undefeated in their last 15 Champions League games and although they might not win this match, they should still reach the final. A bet on over 2.5 goals in what has to be an open game is the suggested bet.
