Roberto Bautista-Agut vs Andrey Rublev Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Qatar Open

Andrey Rublev is the defending champion in this tournament and has had a rather strange week. The Russian takes on Roberto Bautista Agut in the last four and it will be his first match of the week. Rublev received a bye in the first round of this event and was due to take on Richard Gasquet in the next round. However, the Frenchman withdrew meaning Rublev was in the quarter final and yet to hit a ball. Then unbelievably, Marton Fucsovics also withdrew from the tournamen so now Rublev was in the semi-final and all without playing a single shot. All of this has given him time to recover from his winning of the tournament held in Rotterdam last week. He beat Andy Murray, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Marton Fucsovics in the final of that event. It's been a good year for the world number 8. It began with winning the team ATP Cup and then making it to the last eight of the Australian Open. The loss to Daniil Medvedev in that Grand Slam is his only singles loss of the year.

Roberto Bautista Agut is a previous winner of this tournament and is the world number 13. He didn't have such a great ATP Cup only winning one of his three matches. The Australian Open saw him lose in the first round to Radu Albot. His form has improved though and he got to the final in Montpellier, losing to David Goffin in the final. That probably took a bit out of him and he lost in the first round of the Rotterdam tournament won by his opponent in the final. He nearly lost in the first round of this event, having to come from a set down to beat Reilly Opelka. The quarter final saw another three setter as he beat top seed Dominic Thiem. He's had four previous meetings with Rublev and won the first two of them. Rublev has won the two most recent ones and can get another win here.
