Rennes start this game in eighth place and are six points behind the final Europa League qualification places. They were recently knocked out of this season's tournament by Arsenal but did show that they are a tough team to beat on home territory. They are undefeated in their last 14 home league and cup games and their last seven in Ligue 1 with five clean sheets. Three of the last four home league games have been won with eight goals scored.

Lyon also had a recent European defeat losing to Barcelona in the Champions League. Their task now is to make sure they play in next season's Champions League. To do that they need to finish in the top three and are currently third, six points clear of fourth-placed Marseille. Two of their last three league games have been won with one loss in the last five matches. Away form is a worry though with recent defeats by both Nice and Monaco. They have no wins in their last three away league games and only have two in the last eight. A double chance bet on Rennes to win or draw this game can be a winner.
