Rennes vs Lazio Prediction & Betting Tips - Europa League

Lazio had a big win over Juventus at the weekend but have it all to do to reach the knock-out stages of the Europa League. They are third in the table and travel to Rennes who are already confirmed to finish bottom. The Italian side are three points behind second placed CFR Cluj but will qualify with a win in France if Cluj lose at home to Celtic. The weekend saw Lazio beat Juventus 3-1 at home, they are third in Serie A and only five points behind leaders Inter Milan. They have won their last five and eight of the last nine but the other was a home loss to group leaders Celtic. Lazio have lost both of their away games in this group 2-1 but did beat Rennes at home, again 2-1. 

Rennes are bottom of the group and that's where they are going to stay. The French side reached the knock-out stages last season, losing to Arsenal. This time around it's been a poor campaign with only point from five games. Their only point has come at home to Celtic, their other games have all been lost including a home defeat by CFR Cluj. Rennes are in good form in Ligue 1 with three straight victories taking them to fourth in the table. They have won their last four home league games with both teams scoring in each game. This isn't easy to predict, Rennes are playing well but can't qualify, Lazio still have a chance but haven't been impressive in Europe this season. A bet on both teams to score looks the safest one to make.
