For either of Reims and Rennes, a win could guarantee a rise to fifth place, just outside the Europa League spot and this is definitely what the two sides will be fighting for. Rennes are currently playing in the Europa League and will want another season in Europe and they head to this clash at Stade Auguste – Delaune II with high hopes, having picked three wins and a draw in their last four matches but they will need to dig deep against their hosts, who have two wins and a draw in the last three matches. Reims are unbeaten in their last eight Ligue 1 matches, but five of those have ended in draws. With just four clean sheets in 15 Ligue 1 matches, Reims will carry some concern about their defence line but that is covered by the fact that they have managed to score in each of the last eight matches.
