Liverpool are top of thIs Champions League group after two wins and a defeat so far. They started off with a home win over PSG but then lost to a late goal at Napoli. Liverpool bounced back well though with a 4-0 home win over Red Star Belgrade and will be hopeful of another win in this game. The Reds are only a point clear of Napoli and two clear of PSG in third and wouldn't complain if those two teams drew their match this week. Liverpool have lost their last three away games in this competition but Red Star aren't in the same class as Roma, Real Madrid and Napoli. Before those losses, they had gone seven away league games without defeat.

Red Star have already drawn at home with Napoli in this group but two away games have seen them concede ten goals. They need to beat both Liverpool and PSG at home if they want to have a chance of qualifying for the knock-out stages but that's looking rather unlikely. Red Star are unbeaten in their last five home Champions League games but the last three have all ended in draws.  When up against the very best in Europe, they tend not to win and with Liverpool in such good form at present, particularly defensively, they can get the win and be ahead at both half and full time.
