Red Star Belgrade made it through to the group stages of last season's Champions League. They had a nightmare draw against Liverpool, PSG and Napoli and not surprisingly finished last. They had their moments though, including a home win over eventual winners Liverpool. Away form has been a big problem for them though, so they would have been pleased with their goaless draw against Suduva in the first leg of this first qualifying round tie. They would have perhaps been happier if they had scored an away goal  Home form in this competition is a lot better with an unbeaten run of six games before a defeat by PSG. They have kept three clean sheets in their last four home Champions League games and that includes keeping out Napoli and Liverpool.  These two sides met in last season's qualifiers and Red Star were the 3-0 winners 

Suduva lost last season's tie 5-0 on aggregate and they went on to play in the Europa League losing to Celtic in the play-off round. The Lithuanian side had lost three consecutive Champions League games before the first leg draw with Red Star. Only two of their last 11 away games in European competition have been won and they will be regretting not being able to get a lead from the home leg. Their season is already well underway and they top the table by two points after 17 games.  Red Star are difficult to beat at home with only two losses in their last 54 league and cup games. They can make it through to the next round by winning this second leg and be ahead at both half and full time.
