Real Sociedad start the weekend in ninth place in La Liga and five points behind the final Europa League position. That gap widened when they lost to Sevilla 5-2 last weekend and a win in that game would have seen them level on points with the sixth-placed side. Sociedad have only won one of their last five league games and the last one at home saw them lose 2-0 to Atletico Madrid. That loss ended a run of four home league games without defeat, all achieved against sides in the lower half of the table.

Levante are 15th in the table and that's five points above the relegation zone. They are in terrible form at present with only one win in the last seven league games and five defeats. Levante have now conceded 48 league goals, the joint worst in the league. It's not good news up front either with no goals in their last two La Liga matches. On the road, only one of their last 11 league games have been won. Six of the last seven have been lost and in five of the last six, they have failed to score. This looks booked for a Real Sociedad home victory.
