It's not been an easy Champions League campaign for Real Madrid. After three games they are in second place but five points behind leaders PSG and three ahead of bottom of the table Galatasaray. The Spaniards began this group with a 3-0 away loss at PSG (who have won all their group games) and then had to come from 2-0 down to get a home draw with Club Brugge. Their first group win came when beating Galatasaray 1-0 away. The weekend saw Real Madrid held to a goalless home draw by Real Betis. A win over Galatasaray is an absolute must with their next game being PSG at home. Real lead third placed Club Brugge by two points, they are away to PSG this week so the Spaniards have an ideal chance to go five points clear of third place. They come into this game having kept three straight clean sheets but need to improve on a record of no wins in their last three home Champions League matches.

Galatasaray are bottom of the group with just one point and are still waiting to score their first goal. They began with a goalless draw Club Brugge and then had two 1-0 home defeats to PSG and Real Madrid. They would go level on points with Real if winning this game but their main target has to be to catch third placed Club Brugge who they trail by a point and still have to play at home. Galatasaray aren't in the best of form with two losses in their last three games and are only seventh in their domestic league. In this competition, they have no wins in their last 15 away games played over the past six years with 12 defeats and no goals scored in the last five. Overall, Galatasaray have no wins in eight Champions League games played over the past year. Go for Real Madrid to win this and be ahead at both half and full time.
