Two European giants, Real Madrid and BC Olympiakos Piraeus, are set to lock horns at Movistar Arena on matchday two of the EuroLeague. The last meeting between these two sides in this tournament resulted in the visitors coming out on top with an 86-84 victory. Here's our match prediction. 

Real Madrid are top contenders in the 2025-26 EuroLeague campaign. However, their start to the tournament left much to be desired. Their opponents in the opening match were underdog Virtus Bologna. 

With the odds pointing towards a comfortable victory for Sergio Scariolo's men, they found themselves on the receiving end of a shocking 74-68 away defeat.

The Madridistas shot 43.94% from the field and 13.04% from the three-point range. Mario Hezonja led the team with 14 points and was complemented by Gabriel Deck, who contributed 12 points.

BC Olympiakos Piraeus made a winning start to the current EuroLeague campaign and is aiming to build on that success.

In their opening match, Georgios Bartzokas' men were drawn against Baskonia. It was a tough contest, but they managed to prevail in the end with a 102-96 victory away from home. That result extended their winning streak to five matches. 

The Red-and-Whites are now faced with a familiar foe in the EuroLeague: Real Madrid. They have nothing but fond memories in this fixture, especially after wrapping up the previous EuroLeague playoff series 3-1.
