Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid Prediction & Betting Tips - Uefa Super Cup

For the first time ever the UEFA Super Cup is being contested by two teams from the same city. Champions League winners Real Madrid face the winners of the Europa League Atletico Madrid but the game is taking place in Estonia.  Real Madrid are the current holders of the Super Cup having beaten Manchester United last season and have won this for the past two seasons.  A win over neighbours Atletico will give them a record fifth Super Cup win equalling the record currently held by Barcelona and AC Milan. Atletico have also had success in the past having two wins and overall Spanish teams will have 15 wins after this game, six more than any other nation.

It's still just a glorified friendly though similar to the Community Shield in England and the Spanish Super Cup. Real have won their last three games, two of which were in the International Champions Cup but they are expected to be playing a slightly stronger line-up than in those games. Atletico haven't had the best of pre-seasons with one win in their last five friendlies  Games between these two sides don't always produce a lot of goals with five of the last six having under 2.5 goals scored and that says a lot for Atletico as so many Real Madrid games have over 2.5 goals scored in them. These kind of games are always difficult to predict so perhaps the safest bet is to go for under 2.5 goals in this match.
