Real Betis are 11th in La Liga and only four points behind the final Europa League place. They travel to La Liga 2 side Raya Vallecano in the last 32 of the Copa del Ray. Betis are playing their third straight away game in this year's competition. They have had to get past two teams from the fourth tier of Spanish football and have scored even goals without conceding. Betis are in good form at present with only one defeat in their last nine league and cup games. Their only recent defeat has been a home loss to Atletico Madrid. On their travels, Betis struggled in the early part of the seson but are now on a five game unbeaten run.

Rayo Vallecano were relegated from La Liga last season. They are 12th in the table and four points behind the final promotion play-off position.
