The second-placed Rangers will host St. Johnstone in the Scottish Premiership this Saturday. After their seven-game winning streak was snapped last time out, Rangers are favorites to return to winning ways as they take on fifth-placed St. Johnstone. The hosts haven’t conceded a lot in previous meetings with St. Johnstone, and our prediction will back the hosts for a clean sheet.
The Gers come into this match holding an eight-game unbeaten run. However, plans for an eighth straight win were thwarted in a 2-2 draw at Dundee FC last time out.
That was the third time in four matches that they scored more than one goal and they’ve managed four clean sheets in the last six.
St. Johnstone have avoided defeat in the last three matches though drawing twice in the process. They will be looking to not only carry that run to this match but also improve on the draws.
That will call for a lot, as they have lost each of their last six meetings with Rangers. They didn’t just lose those but also struggled to get on the score sheet.
In their latest loss, against Celtic, they also failed to score while their away form in the league hasn’t been very encouraging.
The Saints, newly promoted, have picked up just four points from four away games and only scored three times.
