Rangers were able to snatch a point in Porto in their last European game, but can they build on that? They are seen as a serious threat to Porto going into the meeting at Ibrox this week. Can the hosts add to a fine run of results in Glasgow in the Europa League, or will Porto be able to end their wait for an away victory in this competition? This is an incredibly tight group, with just three points between top and bottom. The sides in second and third meet at Ibrox here, as Rangers aim to avoid another group stage exit. It would be huge for Steven Gerrard’s side to make it out of this group, but can they see off the likes of Porto and Feyenoord to take a top-two spot?

Rangers should be confident, with their Europa League record under Gerrard continuing to be impressive. They are yet to lose in 13 European matches at Ibrox under Gerrard, while they have won seven of 11 in this competition in 2019. The Gers also have six clean sheets in their last seven home games in this competition, which suggests they can at least avoid defeat here. Porto may come here with a big reputation, but the visitors haven’t really thrilled in this group so far. They have lost at bottom side Feyenoord and drew at home to Rangers in their last two in this group. With four defeats from six in this competition, this looks set to be a difficult test for the Portuguese giants. We think Rangers recent form is just too good to ignore ahead of Thursday’s meeting. With Porto coming into this one without a win in seven away trips in the Europa League, we sense an opportunity for the hosts. We think they will edge this clash, so we are going with the Gers on the Draw No Bet market to make the most of their home advantage.
