Two sides in good form, Lyon and Strasbourg will face off when Ligue 1 resumes following the international break. After 26 rounds, Lyon are two points off the top-three while Strasbourg are a point outside the top-six. Read on for our prediction.

After a run of impressive results, Strasbourg will feel their chance to grace the top six is finally here. There’s a huge stumbling block ahead of them though – a team that has beaten them in the last two meetings.

However, Strasbourg won the last time they hosted this match. In Ligue 1 action, they are unbeaten in the last six matches, winning five. This season Liam Rosenior’s men lost just once at home in the league.

Lyon will also hope to carry on with their form before the international break. They come into this match having won their last five matches across all competitions.

By virtue of playing first after the break, Les Gones have the chance to rise to third with a win here. Apart from the league route, they have another way to the Champions League via the Europa League.

For now, the focus is on stretching their fine run, which was only disrupted by PSG in the last eight matches. In each of their last nine matches, Lyon scored at least twice, the most recent being a 4-2 victory at home to Le Havre.
