by Daniel Ngulu in Championship Predictions
QPR will welcome Swansea City for their penultimate home game of this season’s EFL Championship. Four points separate the two in the standings, with Swansea in 11th having the advantage over their 14th-placed hosts. Find our prediction for this match below.
QPR are in a good spell at the moment and will be keen to maintain this to end the season. Marti Cifuentes’s men haven’t lost any of their last four games, winning twice. Both wins, however, have come on the road and this has extended their winless run at Loftus Road to four games.
The Hoops, who’ve won 13 games and drawn a further 14, are coming off a 2-1 victory against Preston. Ten points above the relegation zone and 13 from the top six, QPR have amassed 53 points.
Swansea are mathematically in with a chance at earning a playoff spot. They, however, do not have fate in their hands as they will have to win their remaining three games and hope for favours elsewhere.
Alan Sheehan’s men have been in great form in recent weeks and are coming into this game having won four in a row. Unbeaten in five, the Swans have amassed 57 points thanks to 16 wins and nine draws.
Swansea, who’ve conceded just once in their current winning streak, defeated Hull 1-0 at home last time out.

Our QPR vs Swansea Prediction
Our prediction for QPR v Swansea City is for under 2.5. Swansea have toughened up on defence and in their last four games, have conceded just once. Defence has been key to their excellent recent form, and we expect them to make it difficult for OPR’s inconsistent attack.
This fixture has often seen a low-scoring outcome, and since neither Swansea nor QPR is a free-scoring team, this is likely to continue. Swansea have failed to score in half of their last 10 away games, while QPR have managed just one goal in their last two home outings.
