PSV are on their way to what could be their third straight Eredivisie title. The 26-time champions began their 2025-26 Eredivisie campaign with a comprehensive 6-1 victory over Sparta Rotterdam. This was followed by a 2-0 away win over FC Twente. 

Peter Bosz's side will look to secure their third straight win heading into this match. They have won their last nine Eredivisie fixtures, scoring between two and four goals in seven of them. They have also won their most recent five fixtures at home, scoring at least two goals per match.

Groningen began their Eredivisie campaign this term on a disappointing note, losing 4-1 to AZ Alkmaar. However, they were able to bounce back in their second fixture last week, edging out Heerenveen 2-1 at home, thanks to forward Brynjolfur Willumsson's stoppage-time winner.

Nevertheless, Dick Lukkien's side will face an uphill task when they travel to face defending champions PSV on Saturday. They have lost their last six trips to Philip Stadion, and have conceded at least two goals in their last four encounters with the Peasants.
