PSG - Tottenham: Form Analysis
After mauling Inter Milan in Munich back in May, Paris Saint-Germain headed off to the FIFA Club World Cup in the US, where they were beaten 3-0 in the final by Chelsea.
However, the Parisiens had tremendous success against English opposition in Europe last term, having knocked out Liverpool, Aston Villa and Arsenal en route to being crowned Champions League winners.
Including the CWC, the Red and Blues have won 10 of their last 12 matches (W10 D0 L2) across all competitions, and scored two or more goals in each victory during this period.

Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur ended a 17-year trophy drought last season and are now hoping to become the first Europa League champs to win the Super Cup since Atletico Madrid in 2018.
However, it was a completely different situation domestically, where they ended the campaign as the first side above the dotted line with just 38 points - their lowest tally in the Premier League era.
The Europa League final was the only win Spurs managed in their final four competitive games last season (W1 D0 L3). Pre-season was a mixed bag (W2 D3 L1), with that defeat coming last week, 4-0 against Bayern Munich.

PSG were handed a major blow in the lead-up to this clash, with Joao Neves receiving a two-match ban for the red card he was shown in the FIFA Club World Cup final against Chelsea.
Neves’ absence could open the door for teenage starlet Warren Zaire-Emery to make the starting lineup. Nordi Mukieli is the only confirmed injury absentee for Enrique’s side.
Ousmane Dembele was named Champions League Player of the Season with eight goals and six assists last term, while Desire Doue (5 goals, 5 assists) took home the young player award.
Dominic Solanke is confirmed as sidelined for the Super Cup final!
Frank was initially optimistic that the striker would be available for this clash, but his recovery has faced setbacks. He will be a huge miss too, having scored in both legs of the Europa League semi-final and the winner in the quarters against Frankfurt.
Joining Solanke on the sidelines is James Maddison, who suffered an ACL tear in pre-season and is now at risk of missing the entire upcoming 2025-26 campaign. Fellow playmaker Dejan Kulusevski is still a few weeks away from returning from a knee injury.
New signing Kota Takai will not make his debut this week owing to a foot issue, while Radu Dragusin is only expected to return to the turf around Christmas.
