Champions PSG welcome Metz to the Parc des Princes for this final round match in the French Ligue 1. The home team having already secured the title and have 83 points while the visitors are in 18th position with 31 points. PSG are a mammoth 15 points ahead of second placed Monaco which shows their dominance in the league. They will have a chance to finish up a near perfect league campaign in front of their home fans. PSG won their last match 4-0 against Montpellier which ended a run of three consecutive draws. There will of course have been complacency with the team after they secured the title but they will want a win to close out the season. PSG will ne highly confident coming into this match as they have won their last 12 matches against Metz.

Metz are in the middle of a relegation battle but have picked up seven points from their last three game to give themselves a chance of surviving the drop. They are currently in 18th position and if they can hold onto this position they will go into a relegation/ promotion playoff. If they lose or draw this match and 19th placed St. Etienne win then they will be relegated. If Metz and St Etienne have the same result then Metz will be in the playoff match. The visitors have won their last two matches which is the first time this season they have had consecutive wins in the league.
