Not long after taking over as manager, Mauricio Pochettino can lift his first trophy with PSG. They take on Marseille in the Trophee des Champions in a game behind held at Lens. The game usually sees the Ligue 1 champions take on the winners of the French Cup. Seeing that PSG won the double last season, it's Ligue 1 runners-up Marseille who get to play in this match. PSG are looking to win this competition for the eighth year in a row, having beaten Rennes last year. PSG may have changed their manager recently but it's not as if they are in bad form. Only current Ligue 1 leaders Lyon have beaten them in their last 11 league and cup games. Only one of their last five away games has been lost. The weekend saw them beat Brest 3-0 at home and Pochettino will hope to get another win here. 

Marseille are currently sixth in Ligue 1, seven points behind PSG but with two games in hand. Their current form is poor though with only one win in their last five league matches. That was a 3-1 home win over Montpellier who are struggling for form at present. Their most recent game saw Marseille held to a goalless draw at Dijon who are 18th in the table. Away from home, Marseille have no wins in their last four matches losing three in a row before that point at lowly Dijon. With that kind of form, PSG can lift this trophy for a ninth straight year.
