A highlight of the Ligue 1 fixture list, Paris Saint-Germain host Lyon in the capital this Sunday night. The imperious champions are way out in front of the competition at the top of the table. Nearest challengers Marseille are 12 points behind, a gap that only looks likely to widen as the season goes on. In recent seasons, it looked like Lyon could eventually become a good enough team to mount a challenge to PSG. That hasn't happened this season for a variety of reasons. One of the main problems to plague Lyon this time around has been the injuries sustained by key players. Memphis Depay was in tremendous form before suffering a torn ACL in December that ruled him out for the rest of the season. Currently sixth in the table, Lyon hope to make up the seven-point distance between them and Rennes in the last Champions League place. They may go back before they go anywhere else.

Midtable is mightily congested in Ligue 1. If results go against Lyon, they could end the weekend in 12th place. Their away form is the third-best in the division and they have picked up notable results (two wins) against PSG in the last two years. However, both of the victories in question took place in Lyon and involved the talismanic Depay. Lyon are not without quality; Moussa Dembele has scored eight goals in his last nine matches. Yet, even with the ongoing disciplinary issues of wantaway forward Kylian Mbappe, PSG look far too strong for Lyon. PSG are undefeated in 11 Ligue 1 matches, the last five of which were victories. We suggest backing the home side to see off a spirited Lyon side. Bet on PSG to win and both teams to score.
