Group C is the tightest in the competition as it stands and any of the four teams as it is, can top the group and any can advance to the second round. The gap between the top side – Napoli and the bottom one – Red Star Belgrade, is just two points. Liverpool suffered their second loss of the group stage in the last match day, falling 0 – 2 to Red Star and remain winless away from home in the current campaign but PSG failed to take advantage when they drew with Napoli and thus they remain third. In the opening game of the group, Liverpool needed a late goal to see off PSG at Anfield and this match is definitely still clear in PSG’s memory. The two sides face off on the back of impressive domestic wins but how they shift gears to the more demanding continental action is what matters here. While PSG heads to this game on a run of 12 matches unbeaten, Liverpool is operating on three losses in their last 11 matches. It doesn’t help matters that two of the three losses have come away from home. PSG have scored in all their matches this season and only on two occasions out of 18, have they scored one goal. They have averaged two goals per game in the last five and go to this clash on three clean sheets in the last five matches. Liverpool have also managed 10 goals in their last five matches, averaging two per game and so we expect goals in this clash, just like in the first leg.
