Portugal bid to add the World crown to their European title when the World Cup kicks off but they could do with a confidence boosting win in this game. They have only won one of their last five games and the last two friendlies have both ended in draws. They blew a 2-0 home lead against Tunisia last week and then held Belgium to a goalless draw at the weekend. Cristiano Ronaldo didn't play in either of those games and it's not clear if he might play in this one. Portugal have only won one of their last four games but they should have the beating of Algeria with or without Ronaldo.

The African side failed to reach the World Cup finals.finishing bottom of their group behind Nigeria, Zambia and Cameroon with only one win in their six games. That was a 3-0 awarded win after Nigeria fielded an ineligible player and the actual game was drawn 1-1. They lost their three away games by an aggregate score of 8-2  They have lost their last three games and most recently lost 3-2 at home to the Cape Verde Islands, who famously beat Portugal a few years ago. Back Portugal to get the win here and be ahead at both half and full time.
